As I said yesterday we don't have our own space to cook right now so we eat out a lot, in the town we live in, we don't have many choices. there is a&w and subway and a few other family owned restaurants. I didn't realize how bad the things I was eating before were for me...even things I thought were healthy, or healthier are not. Before I started my diet, if we ate at a&w, I would get either a teen burger or a spicy chipoltle chicken burger with sweet potato fries and root beer. I stopped drinking pop, so now that's not an issue, however, I didn't realize how bad the sweet potato fries were, I thought they were healthier than normal fries...but they aren't
Today is my first day off since I started my diet, its a lot harder than when I'm at work because my boyfriend isn't dieting and he doesn't care what he eats, so today I went to subway and he went to a&w. I was quite surprised when checking the nutritional information for each place, what I would have eaten at a&w before would be close to 1000 calories. Let me also say that before when we would eat at subway I wasn't choosing healthy options, I would get a pizza or a sub with extra cheese and 2 or 3 sauces on it. today I chose a subway club on white, I did put cheese on it, but not extra just regular swiss and only got a 6 inch, before it definitely would have been a foot long. for my veggies I got spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions and some honey mustard sauce. surprisingly it is very good, and at only 310 calories, I still have lots of calories left to eat so I feel good about my choices.
however, it is hard...smelling Andre's a&w makes me wish I could have fried food, but I really really want to loose this weight, so I just need to stay focused. We are hopefully moving into our own place on Friday, so if that happens ill be able to cook food at home, although now that I've had some healthier subs from subway I would still continue eating there.
exercise is still super hard...the pills give me more energy, but I still just don't feel like doing it...especially on days off. at least when I'm at work throughout the night, I'm pretty bored, so doing my little exercises also make the time go by fast, when I'm home...there really isn't anything to motivate me. I know I still have to do it because while eating healthier may help the scale go down to where I want, ill just have all this flab hanging off me. so while its a struggle, I have to figure out another way to get my exercise in...any suggestions would be great :)
